Meet Steve
• Steve was raised here in Simi Valley attending White Oak Elementary, Valley View Middle School and graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1983.
• Steve’s father Bob Sojka was 1 of 22 officers who started Simi Valley’s Police Department back in 1970, eventually working his way up to Chief of Police in 1977.
• Steve was appointed to the Simi Valley City Council in 1998 and was successful in his re-election bids in 2000, 2004 and 2008 while serving as Mayor Pro Tem in 2003 and 2007.
• Steve has had tremendous success in giving back to Simi Valley through Business, Community and City Council achievements. Steve’s knowledge and experience make him the most qualified to serve as Simi Valley’s next Mayor!
• Steve and his wife Laura are raising their 3 children Shantel, Bobby and Breanna here in Simi Valley.
