Public Safety


As the son of a former Simi Valley Police Chief, I was raised on the importance of a safe community and continue these efforts by serving as a Board Member of the Simi Valley Police Foundation since 1998 and its President in 2002.  I will always maintain a ZERO tolerance on criminal and gang activity.  I am committed to a safe Simi Valley and  continue these efforts by serving as Co-Chair of Simi Valley’s Crime Prevention Task Force.

The good news is our crime rate is down 40% from 20 years ago.  We continue to improve on providing a safe environment for our residents.  As your Mayor, I promise to provide our Police Department with the necessary resources to continue to fight crime in Simi Valley so that you will have a safe community to live, work and play

You can also help, with 92% of all crimes in Simi Valley being property crimes which in most cases can be prevented, please take the time to lock your car and take out all valuables.  Also close your garage door, lock your home’s doors and windows and report any suspicious behavior you might see.
